G&J Wave Energy is in the process of building a 4-5 watt power conversion apparatus incorporating upgrades to address design issues found in the original bench test model. These improvements will be incorporated into the larger prototype version design targeted for use by the aquaculture and offshore monitoring sectors of the Blue Economy to reduce fossil fuel use.
G&J Wave Energy, upon completion of construction of the improved the power conversion assembly, will start the process of buoy or flotation apparatus design that will house the power conversion assembly. The challenge will be to design a buoy or flotation apparatus that can optimize the wave energy converter power output in both calm and rough sea conditions.
Once the wave energy flotation device design is completed, G&J Wave Energy will install the 4-5 watt power conversion apparatus into the flotation apparatus, readying the assembly for tank testing and performance verification.
