Test Results of the Power Converter Assembly model.
The above illustration show the measured converter assembly loads which occurred during a static downward pull on the subsea cable. Pulling downward on the subsea cable simulated the loads within the power converter that would occur during the first half of a wave period.

Buoy Design Concept Base on One Watt Test Model
The above design is an illustration for a buoy based on the buoyancy requirements needed to obtain a minimal draft loss and maximum output during the first half of a wave period. The submerged draft and ballast was added to provide buoy with positive stability.

Variations in tensioner efficiency were observed during testing of the 1 watt model. As a means to increase tensioner efficiency and lower accumulator operating pressure for the smaller wave energy converter designs, a configuration change incorporating two tensioner cylinders is under consideration.
The above drawing illustrates the installation of the dual cylinder, single pulley tensioner within the Power Converter Assembly. In this illustration the cylinders are smaller and mounted on the top flange of the assembly. An option, not illustrated is to align the cylinders horizontally below the tensioner drive pulley.
